BEST WINGS IN TOWN. I've been eating The Hot Spot ever since COVID days when you'd meet up with them in a parking lot and get your wings. They have always been super friendly and the food is always delicious. I crave their wings all the time. Please go eat there! You will not regret it!

Coming from Fresno .. Unfortunately I forgot to take the picture food was hot & ready & convos were going .. I ordered a 8 piece combo comes with fries. Tried the Nashville & Buffalo wings both were great ,fries were good . The owners were very generous & people persons forsure !! I received a 10 pc instead of 8 & a refill on my soda. Overall the place is great counting service , food, ambiance was clean & people seemed to be happy! Would def be coming back to try other things , heard they serve pizza aswell! Go give this place a try lmk how your visit goes!

The wings are fantastic. It took awhile to get my order however it was packed. The wigs had serious meat. I'll say you get what you pay for. It's outdoor seating with an overhang so there is shade. I'm sure you'll love it.

Wings as close to the NY wings I grew up with, husband and wife work so hard and they never miss , hot sauce is great, ranch is great, although I wish they had bleu cheese dressing cause that's the og way to dip a wing imo. Happy to support this family business, and no longer be stuck with wingstop as the only wing option in merced!

Was craving wings and didn't want to drive across town to Wingstop. Saw this place had great reviews and decided to check it out. Upon calling the gentleman who answered was very friendly and attentive. I even asked for my wings to be extra crispy, and he absolutely delivered! I ordered buffalo sauce, it was a tad salty, but the ranch balanced the flavors out. Fries were also good! Even my dad liked them and he's not a big wing person. I like Wingstop, but the last couple of times I've been disappointed and I've asked for my wings extra crispy before and have never gotten them extra crispy. So The hot Spot is definitely my new wing spot!

The flavored fries are very good I had the garlicky ones . The owner is a wonderful sista who operates this with her hubby! They are locals to Merced .

Alfonso was great! The staff was friendly and they made great suggestions. The food was delicious! Environment is very chill, and has an 80's/90's rap/ hip hop swag

Best wings in the 209 - yeah, I said it. We are talking fresh, crispy, sAucy, juicy, no frills freaking chicken wangs. Lemon pepper, sweet chili, nash hot...bone in, boneless: however you chicken wing, The Hot Spot is not disappointing. The menu is uncomplicated. You got your wing options, standard sides, and they also offer cheesestakes. Not gonna lie, prices are a lil steep. 10 boneless for $14 dollars, no side or drink but hey, you cannot put price on quality. I usually go for the 6 piece boneless combo for $13 or the buffalo chicken fries for $14. They offer great deals for larger orders, check out their Insta for specials (@thehotspot209). I always made it a point to head to the Tarmac whenever The Hot Spot truck is parked there. Come to find out, they have a whole ass brick and mortar in downtown Merced!!!! Best discovery of 2023. This spot is located between Main Street and I. A good deal of street parking is available. I want to say this downtown location only offers outdoor seating with plenty of shade. These summer temps are brutal so if you don't feel like waiting, be sure to call in your order. Everything is made fresh to order so depending on what you get and how busy they are, there will be a wait. For a small order for myself, I typically wait 12-15 minutes. I heard they just got their liquor license, so I am very excited to pair my wings with a brewkies. Now let's end this 5 star review talking about their 5 star service! My favorite thing about dining local is how passionate business owners and staff are about the product they put out. Everyone here is so friendly, accommodating and are even more of the reason to come back and support.
